is there a way to save streaming video within windows media player,or is the media stored somewhere in a temproary folder that i can access? or is it possible to force the media to open in a different player? i notice that windows media player classic has a "file" and then "save as" option, whereas the current windows media player doesn't. thanks.

well there is keepvid.com which saves videos from a number of different sites. also, yes there is a temp folder that saves video data. In internet explorer 7 click on tools->internet options->under browser history click "settings" then the "view files" button. Maximize the window that pops up and near the upper right hand corner you will see a button that says "size" and under it all the temp file sizes in bytes. Click on "size" once or twice to arrange the files by size and the larger size files are typically movies. Copy and paste them to a desired location and they are yours. If the movie your viewing is a true steaming vid you will have to use tubetv like the other guy said.
