I have a few DVDs that I want to rip some clips from and post here, but i'm a complete newbie to ripping.

I did try a program called DVDx, but i only managed to get low quality clips and even that took me ages to figure out. and i still don't really understand how it works.

please can anyone help? how do you rip clips from DVDs in good quality?

i personally use a program called handbrake. quite simple to use

thanks i'll try it, but some people reviewing it on download.com say it only works for a week? any thoughts on that?

Nah its freeware, there talking ****. also try dvd shrink to take only the part that you want off the dvd then use handbrake to convert to normal movie file

Any suggestions for a mpeg/avi/wmv editor?

(either for all of them or indivinudally?)

Is there a tool similar to ImageGrabber but which can do a batch operation on an entire folder of mpgs and AVIs? I'd like to make contact sheets for an entire folder of videos without having to manually load and process each one.
