What movie did you really not want to see but enjoyed?
Love Actually w/ Hugh Grant
Practically dragged in. I tried to be miserable but I couldn't do it, it was funny

I ended up enjoying Troy. I actually wanted to see Van Hellsing.
Of course, turned out Van Hellsing sucked. |

I didn't want to watch Big Fish, but fell in love with it. One of my all-time faves.
Also didn't want to see The Comebacks but was pleasantly surprised by its crudeness. Ive seen and enjoyed so many films I didnt expect to. |

A few years ago (2001) I really didn't want to see Harry Potter. Thinking it would be too much of a childrens movie. Even though it's primarely a movie made for children, I liked it better then expected. Enough to make me go see the sequels at the cinema.

Pearl Harbour, I am ashamed to admit I enjoyed. Had low expectations with Sin City because the trailer didn't do it much justice, but it turned out to be superb.

Wow. "Love Actually" seems to have a streak going, and, yeah, I enjoyed it as well.
Most recently I was pushed into seeing "In The Name of the King" and I've got to say I actually enjoyed it, though as a "B" movie. I found it a lot more fun and a lot less pretentious and annoying than "The Golden Compass". Speaking of Fantasies, I resisted "The Bridge to Teribithia", if only because of the title, and I was actually rather moved by it in the end... |

Harry Potter series, I hated thinking of watching it, but one day it came on tv, and I decided it really aint that bad.

There are a few movies that I watched, not really expecting to enjoy but really did by the end:
- Forest Gump - Big Fish - Revenge of the Sith (I am a big SW fan, but George massively screwed up the first two movies so I really had no confidence in his directing abilities -- it turned out better and more entertaining than the earlier crapola he shoved out) |

I was 11 when Sound of Music was reissued to the theaters (long long before VCR's). A girl my age wanted to come over for some serious make out action, but my mom and brother wouldn't leave me alone and dragged me to the theater. It ended up being one of my all time faves.
