Which Actor was the Best at Playing James Bond?
which actor in your opinion was the best at playing James Bond?
I liked Roger Moore Best, Live and Let Die Was the 1st bond Movie I remember that I liked, plus the fact that Jane Seymour was beautiful. It was a great story Just in Case some of you don't know, George Lazenby played James bond once in On Her Majesty's Secret Service Peter Sellers also Played James Bond in the Original Casino Royale(although I think it was more a comedic role) Last edited by Frankenstein; April 18th, 2008 at 02:21 AM. |

Connery was the original so he set the standard. Roger Moore played him for quite a while, but - maybe it's just me - there was something a bit... queer in the way he played him. Timothy Dalton was screwed by the writers trying to make Bond monogamous. Pierce Brosnan brought the fun back into it. Lazenby wasn't around long enough to make a mark. Sellers should be in the poll for which actor played the best Austin Powers.
To me the best was Daniel Craig. He had the best acting chops of the bunch, and he was the most physical. |

I agree with a previous member that Peter Sellers part was not a bond character, and Pierce is my favorite, however i loved the music from Duran Duran, Sheena Easton and the like during the 80's bond. Daniel Craig does not look like Bond but rather a bad person he might confront.

I always liked Roger Moore, Pierce was good to, Daniel Craig has only done 1 film so it's to early to tell.

I'm in to the old school bond so would have to go for Connery, although i thought Brosnan was quite good.

Brosnan was good, especially in Goldeneye, but I went for Dalton, as I enjoyed his more gritty performance.

Arg! Now if we're ONLY talking actors here, then of course, Connery has got to get it. But if you're saying which one was actually the best as Bond meaning the character from the books, I've gotta go with Daniel Craig. More was just done right with the character, not to mention the movie as a whole, than any of the predecessors. You just gotta love a poker tell that consists of bleeding from the eye. Easiest night of betting ever!

Connery is hard to beat just because he essentially defined who Bond is in the films. On the other hand, Daniel Craig was fantastic in Casino Royale and gave new life to the Bond franchise.
