Found this on a page of a Brazilian online newsagency. Thought it would be worth sharing. The organizing committee used mainly old images of the players. Not only were they visibly younger than they are now but also, given their lower profiles at the time, there was a lot less... production values in the making of the images. In other words, they all look like crap.
Obviously, it focuses on Brazilian athletes, but you can also see: Yelena Isinbayeva (athletics - pole vault) -- second from left to right in first column (aka "vampire sucked all my blood") Yao Ming (Basketball) -- first from left to right in second column Ronaldinho (football/soccer) -- fourth from left to right in second column Kerri Walsh (Beach Volleyball) -- right next to Ronaldinho (to his right) Michael Phelps -- second from left to right in third column Roger Federer -- fifth from left to right in third column (what is up with that hair???)
