Nfl Greatest Upset Ever?

Was the Giants win the greatest upset ever? Regular Season, Playoffs and Superbowl?

I would say that the Pats beating the Rams for Brady's first Superbowl win was a bigger upset. Only because the pats looked so weak and the rams looked unstoppable. Belichick was the guy that came up with the recipe to stop the Rams offense which to this day is arguably the most potent we have seen.

Flames or Oilers over the Detroit Red Wings were both good recent upsets.

I think the Giants beating the Pats is the biggest upset. Pats 18-0 going into the game and leading with like 30 seconds left in the 4th when the Giants took the lead.

If the not the greatest upset in all of sports, it was at least the biggest upset in Super Bowl history.

USA over USSR is still the best upset. In terms of both sports and social standings.

I have a suspicion that NC State over Houston in the NCAA championship would have to rank right up there.

I stand by E_Man, but in second place-1975-the 8 days in May. The Golden State Warriors beat the Washington Bullets. The Warriors were led by two has beens and a rookie. Twice in the playoffs they were down three games to zero. The Bullets were regarded as unstoppable. The Warriors played smart basketball and didn't let the Bullets get them off their game.

Third place-Boise State over Oklahoma in that bowl game two years ago.
